Des McLean is an award winning presenter, actor and comedian. In 2013 he starred as Tommy Sheridan, the lead role in Ian Pattison’s critically acclaimed play ‘I-Tommy’, whilst his own stand-up shows headlined in Scotland, New Zealand, Canada and Las Vegas.
‘Des McLean’s A to Z of Scotland’, his stand-up comedy stage show toured nationwide throughout 2014 to coincide with the ‘Year of Scotland’. The show is also available on DVD.
Des is regularly booked to host events, or perform comedy sets at corporate events, charity balls, awards ceremonies and other events. Recent clients include Renfrewshire Council, Inverclyde Council, The Wise Group and Celtic Football Club.
Every event is different and Des works hard to ensure that his presentation is within the parameters of the occasion, working with the organisers to successfully target the audience.
