Simon is the founder of the food brand and restaurant chain YO! Sushi, which is now a well known Japanese sushi chain. From his days as an investor on BBC’s Dragon’s Den Simon has appeared on a large range of television programmes, notably Question Time. The basis of his after dinner speaking is about brand building and the ability to win and break into new markets in different industries. In July 2006 Simon was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in recognition of his outstanding business career.
Simon talks about brand building, enthusing the work force and using innovation to win new markets and tap into business revolutions. His presentations often end with a rendition of How I Got My YO!, with Simon singing live to a track recorded just for him by The Blockheads.
