Baron Michael Grade CBE

£12000 - £15000

Baron Grade of Yarmouth has been right at the heart of many media controversies from the BBC to ITV. Coming from a family of theatre and showbusiness Michael naturally fell into the world of Management and Representation, with the likes of Morecambe and Wise and Larry Grayson.

Grade went on to hold some of the most respected positions in media. Both with successful results and also a mass of controversial ones, such as his descision to allow Doctor Who 'to rest' whilst at ITV and his near descision to axe Blackadder after only one series. It's safe to say that Grade created havoc in the world of media.

His high profile posts include Controller of the BBC, Chief Executive of Channel 4, Chairman of the BBC Board of Directors and Executive Chairman of ITV plc which he stood down from in 2009. Since then he has been introduced into the House of Lords in 2011, becoming a Conservative member of which he did not express his views on until 2010.
