Dame Sarah Storey is never afraid of a challenge, after being born without a functioning left hand, she has gone on to be one of the most successful and inspiring Olympic athletes ever. With a swimming career spanning 12 years, Sarah picked up a total of 16 Paralympic medals, 5 of which being Gold before channeling her abilities to cycling and achieving an impressive 6 golds medals for this, 4 of which were won at the London 2012 games.
Sarah was the first disabled cyclist to compete in the able-bodied England team, also going on to defend her title as champion of the national 3km track pursuit, again against able-bodied athletes. Sarah is a true Olympian.
