Richard Reed is the co-founder of Innocent, the famous, all-natural smoothie and vegetable pot specialists.
The initial plan was simple. With £500 worth of products, Richard and friends set up a stall at a music festival. Two bins, labelled YES and NO, were placed next to a poster that read 'Should we give up our day jobs to make smoothies?' By the end of the festival the YES bin was so full they resigned immediately.
From there Richard and his team have gone on to be voted Ernst & Young Entrepreneurs of the Year, and invited to Downing Street to offer advice on creating the right environment to encourage new businesses in the current economy.
Richard's presentation, "The innocent Story", shows that with a non-corporate attitude, a sincere commitment and passion for the cause and creative thinking it is possible to create a fast growing, profitable company that acts responsibly and in favour of health and the environment.
“Richard stole the show!”
