Nigel Redman is a former Bath and England Rugby lock forward who made 350 appearances for Bath and gained 20 caps for England, then as a coach for England Under-20s and Worcester and now as British Swimming’s elite coach development manager. Redman was responsible for selecting the five pool and two open-water coaches for the Rio Olympics which have seem Team GB achieve their highest Olympic medla tally.
In his International rugby career spanning 14 years, Nigel achieved a total of 20 caps for England in the second row. He was a member of the World Cup team in both 1987 and 1991.
Nigel went on to coach the England under-19 squad and is also a national academy coach, then to coach at Worcester before taking an elite coaching role at the RFU. In addition to his nationwide coaching duties he is also commentator for Sky TV's rugby coverage and an experienced after dinner speaker. Nigel Redman is a busy man and a fantastic speaker.
