Lee Briers is a retired rugby league player who played internationally for Wales, receiving a total of 23 caps, most of them as captain. Briers also played for St Helens and before retirement he played for Warrington in the Super League.
During his time at Warrington, Briers became well known for his excellent kicking skills and his success rate on converting drop goals. He currently holds the Super League record, and jointly Warrington all-time record (with Paul Bishop), for the most drop goals in a game (5 against Halifax at the Shay Stadium in 2002). After close to 17 seasons with the Warrington Wolves, he is the club’s top points scorer and was awarded the Lance Todd Trophy for his man-of-the-match performance in the 2010 Challenge Cup Final.
Briers now relives his passion for the game through his after dinner speaking and also through coaching the Warrington U19's... inspiring the next generation of fantastic players and entertainig audiences all over the country.
