John Kay is a leading British economist. After completing his education in Scotland, John took up a post at Nuffield College, Oxford. The post came with a fellowship at St John's College, which he has maintained ever since.
John himself claims that 'The notion that one might understand society better through the application of rigorous and logical analysis excited me – and it still does.' It is this passion and enthusiasm that make John a leading and thought provoking economist in the Twenty- First Century. Throughout his impressive career John has worked for corporations such IFS and Halifax plc, he has also lectured at London Business School and founded London Economics.
John has written a number of books and is a regular contributer to newspapers, holding a weekly column in the Financial Times. John's presentations look at different aspects of the economy in a suprisingly amusing light.
